Maha AlDergham

Maha is a behavior change communication expert and trainer with over 18 years of experience in institutional development and change management in the sectors of water and environment, vocational education, health, not-for-profit organizations, limited liability companies, governmental entities, and service utilities. She has extensive management and leadership experience in managing programs, component’s team, grants, and social and socio-economic research activities.

Maha is the Managing Director and co-founder of the Jordan Social Marketing Center, and she is one of the associate team for the National Social Marketing Center (The NSMC) in the UK who provides technical expertise in behavior change for the center’s projects in Jordan.

Her experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating behavior change programs in Jordan focused on water conservation and protection of natural resources. However, this experience included production of various educational activities targeting youth, school students, women and families to raise public awareness about key conservation methods and ensure their participation in behavior change related activities. One of the successful campaigns that I have managed titled “Don’t Underestimate the Drop/ Dot” that achieved more than 57 million impressions.

Early on 2021, Maha was assigned to manage the USAID grant for the Royal Health Awareness Society in Jordan to implement a Community Health and Nutrition Activity to encourage the adoption of Post-Partum Family Planning methods, Mothers, Infants, and Young Children’s Nutrition and Healthy Family Diets through SBCC campaigns and outreach activities.

Her experience included wide expertise in developing behavior change communication strategies, review and develop institutional communication functions to support implementation of behavior change activities.
