Joumana Kalot is an Instructor of Public Health Practice at the Center for Public Health Practice and an affiliate with the Department of Health Promotion & Community Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, American University of Beirut. She has more than twenty years of experience in strategic planning, resource mobilization, capacity building, coordination, communication, and outreach, in the last two years Joumana has been overseeing and managing C4D projects with UNICEF Lebanon and Syria. While being an expert in HIV/AIDS, RH, drug prevention, NGO governance, humanitarian issues, and health behavior communication, Joumana focuses her work on health workforce development, managing projects and designing interventions. She coordinates the development and implementation of training programs on public health in complex emergencies, women empowerment, youth, RH, communication, workshop design and management, NGO management, and training of trainers at AUB, UNICEF and many other organizations. She has a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 1995.

Joumana is a member of the Secretariat for the 2022 SBCC World Summit and a member of the SBCC Global Alliance.
